Re: Can't Preview G-Code

Sounds like a setting in the software. All my previews come up with the min slider at minimum and the max slider at maximum.

Re: sliced model has gaps

Go to the Mesh menu and select "Separate Connected Surfaces" to see if that fixes it.

Re: I just bought 3d and none of my models load

The supported file types are stl, 3mf, and obj. 3ds files are not supported. That doesn't explain why your obj files won't load. I'd suggest trying to convert them to stl and see what happens. You can convert them online:

Re: Blobs or Zits on layer change

Have you calibrated your extruder? It appears you might have some over-extrusion going on. What happens if you lower the extrusion multiplier? Something else to try if you just want to address the start-of-line blobs is to specify a negative restart distance.

Re: How To Avoid Extruder Travel over Internal Area Of Print

I find on my PETG prints that I have to set the option to retract on every move in addition to vertical lift or else I get horrible stringing. It's in the Ooze Control settings. This also helps with not getting artifacts across surfaces as the nozzle passes. It considerably slows the printing proces...

Re: How To Avoid Extruder Travel over Internal Area Of Print

Have you tried experimenting with the Avoid Crossing Outlines for Travel Movements setting in the Advanced tab of the profile?

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

The big thing missing for me in 4.x is color mixing. If 5.0 doesn't include that and I'm outside the 1-year upgrade window when it releases, I'll probably stick with 4.x for a while. Thank you for the feature request. We have sent your idea to our development team to review! This feature was alread...

Re: Ignoring hidden parts when arranging, etc.

You can achieve this by going into your process settings > click select models > deselect the models that you want to hide. I haven't tried it with 4.1.2, but in previous versions, this didn't work for me. I like to make a factory file of all parts and if I only want to print a subset, I've had to ...

Re: Auto Configure Setting - PETg?

PETG tends to ooze more than PLA in my experience, so you may need to add some extra restart distance to avoid a gap at the start of a trace. Also, increasing the amount and/or speed of retraction can help reduce stringing. I've never been able to get rid of all stringing however; it's just the natu...
