It probably means that your STL consists of multiple meshes. Try "Separate Connected Surfaces" in the Mesh menu. If there are separate meshes, they'll all appear in the object list. Just make sure they're all selected when slicing and you should get what you expected.

I'd be happy if they just fixed the bugs in 4.1.2.

Supports often being generated even when manually removed.
An object disappearing in whole or in part while manipulating it, requiring that the application be relaunched.

What communication? That's the problem: there is no communication that progress is being made. In this case, no news is not necessarily good news.

Look at the g-code definitions for the firmware your printer runs. This is my go-to reference for such things:

That said, it's a much better idea to make the change in your printer's configuration files.

I'd consider any X-Y error less than 0.1mm pretty darned accurate; Z error has the potential to be higher because it all depends on how well you calibrated the bed height. FDM printers aren't designed for extremely high precision; an SLA printer will give you that. According to my calculations, the ...

If you're just trying to print multiple copies of an object, it's better to use the Duplicate function (Ctrl-D on Windows, Command-D on Mac) than to import it multiple times. Each copy gets assigned a unique suffix that way.
