Re: Auto Pause after printing a layer

If you want to change the filament and you're running compatible firmware, you might want to use "M600" instead of "G4"

Re: Change extruder name from E to A

I'm dying to know why you want to do this. I think you'd probably have to do this in the "post processing" section of the Scripts. It's pretty ugly because you don't want to replace every E, just the E's that are part of extruder moves or refer to tools. {REPLACE "E0","A0"} {REPLACE "E1","A1"} {REPL...

Re: First layer issue after 4.1.2 update

Question. Let's say I am using an extrusion multiplier of 0.93 and want to use your method. How are you calculating what % to use? With M221 set to 100 does that mean it will extruse exatly what the slicer tells it or the 0.93 I am using? Consequently, would a 135% mean 135% of the 0.93 I has set? ...

Re: First layer issue after 4.1.2 update

Since I really don't like messing with global offsets, I added the following post-processing instructions to my S3D process instead to use the GCode M221 instruction to alter the extrusion factor for layer 1. Posting here in case it helps someone else. {REPLACE "; layer 1," "M221 S135\n; layer 1,"} ...

Re: Pla printed part question

Is the rod straight? if you have a bent rod in a straight hole (or a straight rod in a bent hole) it will go in in for a bit and then bind somewhere in the middle. After inserting the rod in the hole check if it's pressed against one side of the hole. If you turn the rod and it gets pressed against ...

Re: Is a 90% First Layer Pointless Now?

Thanks all for pointing this out and enumerating how the new version changes the first-layer/bed-layer. Since I really don't like messing with global offsets, I added the following post-processing instructions to my S3D process instead to use the GCode M221 instruction to alter the extrusion factor ...

Re: Raft Not Appearing After Slicing

Do you have a second object with a different process (esp without a raft) printing near your object that is using the process with the raft? I found that if I have 2 different objects printing with different processes too close together, S3D will not include the raft if they are closer than the raft...
