Version 5 Announcement

Let me be the first one to voice my skepticism that 5 will be any different than 4.1out of the gate. As usual the announcement is marketing fluff with no substance whatsoever. "Over the years, Simplify3D has built a reputation for accuracy and reliability." Really? I really hope I'm...

Re: Slicing issue.

This happened again this morning. I went to print the file and the printer "processed" the file without ever doing anything. I quit S3D, re-sliced, and the file printed normally. I had previously loaded and sliced 6 nearly identical models in sequence using the same factory file. The last ...

Slicing issue.

I don't have any specifics nailed down. But several times with Mac 4.1.1 I have sliced a file and when I printed it none of the starting script happened. In fact the printer just chewed on the file but it never printed and no errors were reported. The heaters never activated either. If I quit and re...

Re: Major Retraction Bug In S3D

I was really hoping I don't have to go learn Cura since both my printers are custom. :x

Re: Where can I download the older (functioning...) version?

Careful how you ask! I asked the same question last week and my post was promptly deleted. I would be good to be able to download older versions on an "at your own risk" use. I run 3, 4.0 and 4.0.1 due to feature changes. Makes a nice setup to have a few options. I'm quite annoyed that po...

Re: Saving Profiles .FFF

One item, that I would like to see changed is the ability to save the profiles in a batch mode.. saving ONE at a time is sooooo 80's I have at lease a couple dozen profiles, as I am sure most folks using their printers in a manufacturing arena do ! And working with the .FFF files should be a batch ...
