@ Wirlybird: yes , playing a bit with the infill tab made the difference. Maybe in the duture it will be possible to make parts of an object with more infill as another part.

Make a part of a print solid , but not all

Hello all , I am Making a small case for some electronics and some batteries. Both ends I want to insert a screw. Infill is 15% which is fone for the print , but the 2 ends I would like to have 100% infill . is this possible? I read it is possible to make a hotizontal part diifferent as the rest of ...

@ dkightley: Cool , I thought the Boolean was to "remove" parts , but I with your help I saw there is also a "union" function i n the boolean section. That does exactly as you said in your post. Now it is working fine! .

I was very happy with the wheelpants, nicely painted and installed. But I only enjoyed them 1 time ....... A big crash. Technical failure of a ball link from a servo caused the aircraft to crash ... 1 month of trial and error for the wheelpants , finnaly succes ( see left top of the picture below).....

Why is that? , that means where I print a support , and I break it off , it will be a nice smooth surface?

Finally , after lots of trying , anout 1 roll of ABS , about 7 days worth of printing I got 2 usable wheelpants: 20180722_102207 (Medium).jpg Just a pity it can not be nicely printed in 1 go. but this is acceptable. just finishing with sanding and putty before the final color. Next week I will print...

Yep , awesome. The wording "seperate connected surface" wasn't very clear . I wanted the surfaces to bond together , not to seperate ...... but it does exactly what you promise.
