Re: V4.1 Bridging Issues

Yeah I've noticed that too, it's applying bridge settings to outlines that aren't bridged and not applying bridge settings to some of the outlines that are bridges. I've gone back to 4.0.1

Re: Issues in tall print

Why are you using PCTPE for a T-rex model? PLA or PETG would be much easier, and for a model, anything besides PLA doesn't make much sense unless you are making outside sculptures or something. PCTPE is known for heavy warping and although its strength is impressive, it's considered engineering grad...

Re: Controlling extruder temp more exactly

I would first make sure the Override GcTemp is disabled (should be by default). Most likely that's not the issue, but good to check. Should be in the general settings accessed via the printer LCD screen. Looking into the issue more, it seems like temp issues are fairly common with Sailfish firmware....

Re: Controlling extruder temp more exactly

That tower goes in steps of 5C, can you elaborate more on "It seems to stay 4-7 degrees below the target at all times"? Does that mean you aren't even hitting the first temp? If it's every 5C, then being 7C below means you've got slight cooling, which is odd if you are trying to heat the n...

Re: Holes!

Have you read: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/prin ... top-layers ?
It looks like you have no layers under those holes.

Re: Master Settings Database - User Populated

I get what you're saying, but I don't think it's going to pan out the way you think, at least not in the form of a database. I think the reason you don't see something like this--beyond the obvious time commitment for no financial gain--is that once you get the basic settings, everything else is ver...

Re: print items one at a time

Is there not a way to do this without having a billion processes? say I want to print 20 parts, that means I must manually create 20 processes, what a headache. Can't S3D be told to treat each object separate and finish a layer of object 1, then move to 2, etc etc so simply yet I don't see a easy w...

Re: Filament Storage

A few days doesn't sound right. For me PLA (Hatchbox) is usually good for about 6 months at 40% relative humidity (no storage). What brand of PLA are you using? I've never had much of an issue with PLA, but PETG has given me many issues with water absorption. I've gotten new reels (Hatchbox and eSun...

Re: Filament Storage

How do you know when the desiccant is saturated? Looks like you are using clear silica. That's also odd because I would expect the PETG to exhibit issues before PLA, unless your bag was leaky. Do you pressurize the bags to test for holes periodically?

Re: Filament Storage

I use Ziploc bags and put in pouches of color indicator desiccant like these. Never had any issues with the filament I use.
