Sure I do use old_tool and new_tool and the custom script is completely executed BEFORE the tool comes to the next deposition location bringing back the Z location. My workaround postprocessor script does the job:

I know what a multitude of complexity and bugs can bring implementing an API, especially for a C++ Qt code. I suggest exporting more variables like {NEWTOOL} {NEWTOOL} to add {CURRENTZ} and similar then adding more hooks: instead of one tool change script make 2: before and after tool change, etc. T...

When using docking tool changer like this one:

It is possible to use different materials and diameters for different purposes and/or parts.
ABS allows printing with higher speed than PETG, for example.
Would be nice to have speeds tab for each tool

Need a setting for the value of Z lift on tool change. Before executing the user tool change script the Z has to lift up.
