Bug? strange travel movements at 'optimized' path

Hey everyone, when I select the processes 'W 2mm Bot(1)' and 'W 2mm Mid(1)' and start printing, then I get these random seeming travel movements which you can see on the attached picture. These movements happen when the extruder switches from inner to outer perimeter and ignore the 'avoid crossing o...

Re: layer height

The reason I´m asking is because I´m print at 0.3 mm with an 1mm nozzle currently. The one which was used heavily beforehand performed very well under these conditions (even at 0.2 mm). We switched to a fresh nozzle lately and now we´re seeing heavy issues where filament is not extruded correctly an...

layer height

I would be interested to know what the minimum layer height is compared to nozzle size. I found a lot of information about maximum layer height, but for minimum layer height there seems to be dispute amongst the 3dp community... Any help would be appreciated.

Setting 'extruder size' in S3D

Hey everyone, is it possible to include the size of my printhead (along with the sledge it sits on) to avoid any collisions while printing multiple parts? As I understand the max height clearence is used to tell the software how high it can print before printing the next object in order to avoid col...

Re: PMMA print settings

btw. using an enclosed heated building chamber is key for reducing warping and a strong brim helped me holding down the edges for good.

Re: Printer stops for no reason and creates blob

Turns out there is a problem with slicing/meshing. I tried reducing the number of triangles and I was successful in removing the blob-scar. However, the form of the letter suffered from this procedure even at very moderate triangle reductions. So I loaded the stl into meshmixer and remeshed it to a ...

Re: Printer stops for no reason and creates blob

I made a picture of the printed letter. It looks familiar with the Z-scar, but it´s not. I can´t see anything in the print-preview that hints at any abnormalities...
Yeah, I will try reslicing, maybe that helps.

Printer stops for no reason and creates blob

Hello everyone, on this particular object I have the problem that the printer stops at some point for no reason and creates a blob meanwhile. After printing the skirt flawlessly the printer starts printing the outline of the "B". 95 % of the way around the outline just before getting from ...
