Re: Pause at layer height

If you have a Marlin based printer that accepts M600 I would suggest using that as it usually has a 'filament change script' placed automatically. So it will raise the Z and prompt you on the LCD and everything. It is a much more user friendly command in comparison to an M0 which is basically just a...

Re: Printer Connection Failed

Thank you for the question! It looks like you are trying to connect with a Monoprice Mini V2. This machine is peculiar and requires some special settings when connecting. The folks over at the unofficial Monoprice Mini Wiki did a great job of explaining the process in gritty detail so I have include...

Re: Noob question

It sounds like you are referring to the Toolhead indicator. This is present in Preview Mode by default to show the user where the printhead is during a particular print file. It can be toggled on and off by using the Toolhead checkbox found in the "Show in Preview" options on the left. Please let me...

Re: Pause at layer height

So the best way to do this currently in Simplify3D is to use a Post-Processing Script. This option is found in the Scripts tab of the Process Settings. For this example let's say we want to pause a standard Marlin machine at Layer 10. I would enter the following line into the Post-Processing box: {R...

Re: Can anybody help me with settings for first layer of a CR10S Pro?

Your first layer here does exhibit the classic signs of underextrusion but if the rest of the print seems to be printing well then more than likely this is caused by the nozzle being too far from the bed when printing. I would suggest either re-leveling and calibrating your bed using the LCD screen ...

Re: Temperature Plot not working Print will not start over USB

Thank you to everyone who added to this thread. There does seem to be an issue with the way the U20 and the CR-10S Pro report temperatures in response to the M105 command. I have documented their formatting for the development team. Thank you again to everyone who contributed and if any other machin...

Re: Unable to slice "floating" models

There is a lot going on here so it would be really helpful to have a Factory File to look through. Can you please post one showing this issue when you have a chance?

Re: Single Extrusion voids/bug

I can send one in, but I can't post it here publically as the model is commerical. Thank you for sending this file. We were able to confirm this issue and have documented our findings for the Development team. In the meantime as a workaround I would suggest increasing your perimeter overlap as this...

Could you please post a Factory File where you see the gaps as represented in the first image?
