Re: OK, Time to Start Yet Another "Where is Version 5? " Thread

Although I'm sure my response a long time ago was deleted calling it that S3D would scapegoat the pandemic when the opportunity came. No surprise they did. Please do tell us how a job (programming) that can be done remotely with slack/teams/zoom/etc, and testing which also doesn't require a live tea...

Re: OK, Time to Start Yet Another "Where is Version 5? " Thread

I check in about every 6 months now. Always gives me a good laugh. Looks like S3D is still trying to pull a rabbit out of their mercury laden hat. Dev's quit, owner got a lucky head-start and thought the gravy train would last forever. Prusa still spending time on updates while S3D is spending times...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2020 upcoming Version 5.0

Well... I hope it's released before October 2020. That's when my 12 months expires. Not looking very promising... They are going to wait until there is one 1-year from the last purchase of S3D before they release it, so no one will get a free upgrade. Every time someone buys S3D the 1-year countdow...

Z Seam manual input ignored....

When I try to manually set the Z-seam location when I slice the file it is ignored and preview shows the seam at a corner as it would when selecting "optimized" I'm trying to calibrate pressure advance. File is a 100mm cube, 1.2mm walls (0.6 nozzle). Trying to generate the seam in the mid...

What if version 5 isn't released this year? It's kind of coming to that point for a lot of us....

Re: Version 5 Announcement

I've routinely requested an update on upgrade pricing. They will not release that detail for some reason. The people who are on 4.1.2 should worry... if you can't tell people who already bought in, how much it will be to continue, then whats the point of keeping the product. I spent the money on th...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

As someone who is likely to be unaffected by the paid update as I only recently joined the S3D family, and I definitely love S3D, please do not take the following too harshly. I think the main points of contention are as follows. People are irritated they paid $150 for a "premium" software...

Fast printing and PETG. Need help with zits/gaps

Just changed over from Slic3r hoping S3D would allow me to clean up my prints as I print fast after I exhausted lin advance... I have no problems with PLA at these speeds, yes I am aware I can "turn it down" but that doesn't interest me. Here is my latest benchy. https://imgur.com/lJoiVTN ...
