Thin walled print - vertical artifacts

I am trying to print with a single perimeter shell which is 0.4 mm thick using my Prusa I3 MK2 and a 0.4 mm nozzle. When I slice the STL into S3D the exterior walls are missing, until I turn on the allow single extrusion walls feature on the advance print settings tab. The print comes out fine apart...

Re: Thin Walled Wing Printing

Thanks for that tip jgomes0, that is a very useful feature.

Zemlin,
should I be using the allowed perimeter overlap setting in the advanced => thin walled settings section to get good bond strength or the endpoint extension distance setting?

Re: Thin Walled Wing Printing

Thanks for replying zemlin. I am new to S3D, how do I apply different process to the skin and the ribs? Would I have to import them as separate models or can I select different regions of a model?

Thin Walled Wing Printing

I am trying to print a wing section consisting of a single perimeter skin supported by ribs arranged in a criss-cross pattern. The attached picture shows 3 versions of the wing sliced from three CAD models. The top version has no gap between the ribs and the inner surface of the skin in the CAD mode...
