Re: OK, Time to Start Yet Another "Where is Version 5? " Thread

They don't even take any effort to remove criticism anymore so I think the company is actually dead now.

Re: Version 5 Announcement

@thompy @garvyman I can imagine your big annoyance. I've the same though I bought the software September 2018. When V5 was announced I was told I might have chance of getting it for free as well. Over time it became clear to me that this company is non functioning. I and a few other people here kept...

Re: Seasons Greetings

I want to explain my stance on the "whiners" some of you are talking about. First of all, I have nothing against the developers of the product. I love the product. What I do see time after time after time is promises that are not delivered, empty marketing content and all other kinds of th...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2020 upcoming Version 5.0

Ah, that one-year-upgrade thing is great. I really like the software, so if I have to buy the new version in a year that's fine :-) I like the software, hate the company. They told me that when I bought it update 5.0 would be released within that 12 months period, so I would get the update for free...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

I was promissed life times update when I bought this software. As a developper I know what lies behind a software but if someone was promissed free updates you should honor that. Will probably not upgrade to v5 since it's crappy as hell for my Prusa printer... Prusa PE beats S3D with everything tie...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

How would it be a good thing to get rid of STL files while everyone else mainly supplies them? Any model from the internet then suddenly needs to be converted to a not STL file to use it... Did you ever designed an stl file? I guess not. Its not like you wont be able to print stls, they'll simply a...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

i heard they will move away from stl files ,which is a good thing . i hope i would be able to upload a solidworks file directly (other cad also ok) this will definitely differentiate s3d from regular slicers and will be a good move. How would it be a good thing to get rid of STL files while everyon...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

Yay, me too, bought on october 2018 and would be rather annoyed to see an eventual fee for the 5.0 release. If that will be the case I will consider having bought S3D a straight up "bad investement". Otherwise I would say it is actually a good investement since the software IS actually go...

Re: Sewing?

Is that at the end or beginning of the layer? If at the start, and if you have been increasing retraction, give decreasing it a try. Also look at your Extra Restart Distance. That is indeed something the OP should look at, but since the complete print doesnt look good (not just the seam) I think th...

Re: Sewing?

Im no 3D printing profesional, but this seems to me like under extrusion. There are multiple reasons which can cause a not so steady filament flow. The first thing I would look at is the temperature of the printhead. A higher temperature would melt the filament quicker and thus have a more steady fl...
