Re: Two slicing questions - benchy

So set up cooling on that profile at the specific layer rather than trying to get it recognised as a bridge? Nice thought, had completely passed me by. BT fixed I meant manual rather than auto where it will vary in a print. I understood 120% of your nozzle width to be the rule of thumb for extrusion...

Re: Two slicing questions - benchy

Sorry I forgot that. 0.4 nozzle, 0.45 width. It's the recommended abs profile from prusa for my Mk3, and I've got a question on their forums as to why fixed, and why below 120%.

Re: Two slicing questions - benchy

Thanks for the reply. You're right, it was on manual width so I'll play with auto. Single extrusion gap fill didn't help, it's too small a gap. I'd agree on bridging except I'm trying to get rid of the slight lumpiness I'm getting on the underside of the arch, which I assume will be full temperature...

Two slicing questions - benchy

Evening all. I've got two slicing questions please as I try to fine tune my printer performance (see attached images). 1) On the benchy model, there is an open-topped box behind the cabin. When printed, I have a hairline gap running around the top face in the middle. Upon looking in S3D, I realised ...

Re: Dominance of Vase mode?

Great thank you. I believe you are correct as the model does have a circular inner perimeter and then the patterned external one. I assumed that the slicer would corkscrew out and then in, picking up both, but clearly not!

Appreciate the response, thank you.

Dominance of Vase mode?

I'm still learning on 3D printing and have just started on vases. As such I'm using the spiral/corkscrew/vase checkbox on the Layer tab to look to avoid any seams. I still seem to get seams though, which do show in the print preview. Having played around with a few settings, the only way I seem to b...

Re: Newbie - Sequential Printing Issues

Is there a slicker way to set it up then rather than having to create a new process, go into the settings, select the model, rinse and repeat? When I'm trying to batch 10+ items that's a real pain!

Re: Newbie - Sequential Printing Issues

It's sequential printing under a single process that I'm trying to do, without having to duplicate and assign processes individually to every model.

Re: Newbie - Sequential Printing Issues

Thanks but that doesn't demonstrate single process sequential printing.

Newbie - Sequential Printing Issues

Morning all, I've lost track of how long I've looked into printers, and finally took the plunge yesterday with a da Vinci Pro. Loving it so far, going through all the usual newbie mistakes and questions by the look of things, but making progress. One thing I can't fathom, despite reading up on seque...
