Re: Print outline/perimeter shells on OUTSIDE of hollow model instead of INSIDE

Thanks for the replies all, I apologize for the late response. Just realized I may have posted this question in the wrong subforum (didn't mean to add it to feature requests! So if a mod finds it necessary to move it to a different forum). That is the question of the surface direction and not change...

Print outline/perimeter shells on OUTSIDE of hollow model instead of INSIDE

Hey all, looking for some advice for something that may not even be possible. I'm printing a completely hollow (0% infill) model with 2 - 3 outline/perimeter shells. When S3D prints additional outline/perimeter shells, it adds them going inwards to the center of the model, such that the outside surf...

Re: Outline Shells Not Bonding

Just wanted to update on this issue. It seems to be mostly fixed now - the outline shells are bonding together tightly enough in most areas for me to no longer consider it a significant issue. I had tried upping the extrusion multiplier from 0.9 to 1, then 1 to 1.1, and I there was no noticeable imp...

Outline Shells Not Bonding

Hi all, running into an issue here I just can't seem to solve. I'm printing a hollow model in PLA using 3 perimeters/outline shells, no infill at all. No matter what I seem to do, the outline shells just won't bond to each other , such that you can easily take an xacto knife (or maybe even by hand) ...

Re: Printing hollow with a clean inside?

Hey Mogal, thanks for the reply! I'm new to the forums and never got a notification about the reply, I'll have to keep that in mind. Unfortunately, printing the outside layer first then the inside (by setting it to print Outside-In) didn't make any noticeable difference, also attempted adjusting the...

Printing hollow with a clean inside?

Hi all - I'm printing an assortment of hollow models, 2 - 4 outline layers thick. They're required to be hollow, thus printing them at 0% infill. The outside surface of the print is coming out just fine, but as this will be used as a mold of sorts, I'm actually only concerned with the quality of the...
