Re: Outer perimeter seam optimisation

The problem with 'random' compared to 'optimised' and 'fixed', is that random creates a different start point for the inner perimeter(s) as well as the outer perimeter, independent from each other. This often creates a (longer than needed) travel move after the end of the inner perimeter when it he...

[BUG] thin sheets disappears

i print thin sheets for fine bed leveling and occasionally as a build plate for "hard to stick" materials . i noticed that in viewer when the part is too thin it will occasionally disappear . in the image its the same part (0.15mm thick 150mm square sheet) from different angles . it seems that overh...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

How would it be a good thing to get rid of STL files while everyone else mainly supplies them? Any model from the internet then suddenly needs to be converted to a not STL file to use it... Did you ever designed an stl file? I guess not. Its not like you wont be able to print stls, they'll simply a...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

i heard they will move away from stl files ,which is a good thing .
i hope i would be able to upload a solidworks file directly (other cad also ok)

this will definitely differentiate s3d from regular slicers and will be a good move.

Re: very slow file writing (4.1.1)

if its enabled (i use it to lower acceleration) then the writing to (fat32) sd card becomes very slow .
it takes less then a second to write the same gcode to ssd .
so my only solution right now is to write it to ssd , then copy to sd .

very slow file writing (4.1.1)

i'm not sure if it started with 4.1.1 upgrade or maybe before . when i write to sd card it takes very long to write the file . if i write to other ssd or normal hd it writes fast as before . only to sd card the speed became very slow . i formatted the card to ntfs and then its very fast again , but ...

Re: choosing infill layer thickness same as perimeters

This would exponentially increase time and filament use for no practical gain. for you maybe . it depends what you print . for me it will be a gain for structural use . for example this infill has no structural use for me 1.jpg if i know i'll have a high load in the middle of the part , i prefer a ...
