Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

If they do not release V5 in 2019 they should at least extend the upgrade period for the people who subscribed in 2018. That is the only fair thing to do, we bought it, or at least I did, based on their promise to release the upgrade, their failure to meet their time table is in no part their custom...

Re: Warm, Purge, Print, Purge, Retract, Cool, Wipe

I am not sure what Firmware you are running on your board, but I recently updated to a Duet3D board. I found that I can write g-code processes and save them in the sys folder, when I need to use them is simply call from the scripts using an M98 (M98 P/sys/cool_down.g ; call cooldown). I know if you ...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

juvenile? yes I will except that, petty not in the least. Since they have insisted that they will release in 2019, and keep insisting! When I purchased my seat it was after they announced the release of V5 in to 2019. I was on the fence about buying software when there were really good opensource so...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

wow. . . 39 days, 12 hours left in their 2019 time frame and STILL nothing form the S3D camp. I wonder how much closer to the release date we need to get before they announce anything?

Re: raft question

In my experience there really should not be that big of a struggle to remove a properly set up raft. Most of the time when I have to use a raft they just peel right off. I would recommended choosing a small model and try printing it with a raft and adjust your raft settings till you get it dialed in...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

Thank you Chris, I think I have asked this before but how much closer do we need to get there are currently 50 day 8 hours left in 2019? are you still set for a 2019 launch?? @JantzenDay, you hit the nail on the head it has been said many times that this is the poorest run "launch" we have ever seen...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

That's a lofty goal and very wishful thinking... Hi StealthPrint, thank you for your reply. Don't get me wrong, you are making truly reasonable assumptions, but I'm speaking about facts. The facts show that we know knothing about the V5 , so I hope to see the new release before december 2019 , main...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

I am not really sweating it either, except I purchased my seat of S3D right after they made the announcement of V5 and said it was going to be released in 2019. But if they do miss their 2019 "date" then I will have to pay to upgrade unless they extend the upgrade period for those who purchased thei...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

@S3D-Chris Not to sound like a smart ass but how much closer to the release date are we talking? Are you going to post the updates to features and pricing like 24 hours before you push it out? We are rolling down to the end of the year like 2.5 months. Most companies have released a list of expecte...

Re: Pause at layer height

Not to bash S3D, but take a look at how to do it in Prusa Slicer 2.0. Very fast and elegant, when I have to do a part with a filament change that is the slicer I use.
