Re: Paid upgrade For 2020 upcoming Version 5.0

It looks like s3d is holding onto their silence-first policy, so what happens if they decide to one day go belly up without a word. Eventually our DRM's will kick in and try to call home and when it can't reach the servers we will most likely become locked out of accessing the software. Same goes f...

Re: Version 5 Announcement

I've routinely requested an update on upgrade pricing. They will not release that detail for some reason. The people who are on 4.1.2 should worry... if you can't tell people who already bought in, how much it will be to continue, then whats the point of keeping the product. I spent the money on th...

Re: Version 5 Announcement

Talk about first world problems. If it upsets you so much about the time of release, move on! If it upsets you so much about the price of the upgrade, MOVE ON!!! S3D is still my goto slicer. I've seen vids on other slicers, but not enough to compel me to switch. Again, if it upsets you...

Re: Version 5 Announcement

I am SOOOOO surprised!!!!!! As was stated earlier I hope that they extend the upgrade period beyond 12 months!! Their failure to meet the deadline they promised is not our fault!

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

Finally got a response back from S3D support on e-mails that I have sent about V5 upgrade and extending the upgrade period for the people who subscribed after the V5 announcment. *I actually entered the wrong date I put 2/7/18 and it was 2/7/19* Me: "Request Details: I have e-mailed a couple of...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

If they do not release V5 in 2019 they should at least extend the upgrade period for the people who subscribed in 2018. That is the only fair thing to do, we bought it, or at least I did, based on their promise to release the upgrade, their failure to meet their time table is in no part their custom...

Re: Warm, Purge, Print, Purge, Retract, Cool, Wipe

I am not sure what Firmware you are running on your board, but I recently updated to a Duet3D board. I found that I can write g-code processes and save them in the sys folder, when I need to use them is simply call from the scripts using an M98 (M98 P/sys/cool_down.g ; call cooldown). I know if you ...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

juvenile? yes I will except that, petty not in the least. Since they have insisted that they will release in 2019, and keep insisting! When I purchased my seat it was after they announced the release of V5 in to 2019. I was on the fence about buying software when there were really good opensource so...

Re: Paid upgrade For 2019 upcoming Version 5.0

wow. . . 39 days, 12 hours left in their 2019 time frame and STILL nothing form the S3D camp. I wonder how much closer to the release date we need to get before they announce anything?

Re: raft question

In my experience there really should not be that big of a struggle to remove a properly set up raft. Most of the time when I have to use a raft they just peel right off. I would recommended choosing a small model and try printing it with a raft and adjust your raft settings till you get it dialed in...
