Re: Volcano 0.8mm Nozzle on a CR-10 - Settings?

I'm also having horrible luck. I'm also the volcano on PETG which is pretty bad for stringing ANYWAY. I get a lot of 'leaves' sticking upfrom the interior fill (due to the bridging issues with PETG I run never less than 30% fill). The print heads makes a grinding noise all the time as it prints; it ...

Re: Spiral Floor

Thank you! Looks like it was "external fill pattern" under Infill, which I have to admit I didn't know what was :) It would be great if it could go 'out' as I'll get a drip (I'm using a really big nozzle, .8mm or 1.2mm), but the spiral in at least works! It seems like if I have a hole in the center ...

Spiral Floor

Is there any way to print the floor of a vase mode object with anything other than the flat horizontal lines? I'm printing a clear disk and would like a slightly more artistic pattern than a circle with some lines in the interior. I've thought of doing 100% infill but maybe didn't get the way to mak...

Re: How to keep corners good when printing fast?

Well I spoke too soon. I've printed over a spool of PetG now, and I think maybe there's crud built up? The extruder keeps making a 'clonk' noise and I lose an entire later, then everything above it looks weird, or just ends up being a ball of hair around the print head. Lost print T-3 and T-1, altho...

Re: How to keep corners good when printing fast?

I'm getting fairly good prints now; I set width to "Auto". I'm also running at about 104% extrusion and 60% movement speed. I can't check the other settings as it's running now. I did get a weird problem where something went wrong about halfway through and the upper half "Fuzzed out" and didn't prin...

Re: How to keep corners good when printing fast?

Thanks. I just checked, and for some reason my profile was at 100% of the width. I changed to "auto" and it set it at .48mm (vice .4mm, same size nozzle)

Re: Guide for E3D V6 + CR-10S Settings?

Hi I"m using a V6 on my CR-10. I'm using the dual extruder setup on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2777673), but only have the stock control board right now, so I haven't actually gotten the second extruder running. Anyway, thought I'd tag on and see if you got any further. I haven't...

Re: Odd defects on outer surface

Did you figure out what it was?

I'm looking around for CR-10 Volcano settings. I'm about to do some large prints, and thought I'd check and see what works.

Simplify3D is already printing better than Cura, but I'm sure I can make it better.

Hope you got further with yours!

Re: Advice for Volcano 1.2 mm nozzle

Pardon me for jumping on, but I was intrigued by: I have a volcano with a 0.8mm nozzle, and I print at 91% of the theoretical speed limit for volumetric extrusion without problem. How do you calculate that? What settings did you change (I realize this could be printer specific) to use the .8mm nozzl...
