Elegoo OrangeStorm Giga support

I had to move FURNITURE to get this thing up.

It's glorious.

Cura is OK, but I would love to see Simplify3D support!

Has anyone tried it?

Re: SLA Printing???

I should have posted earlier

I currently have a Saturn 2.

The slicers there are on a subscription model for the pro features, which is irritating.

I would love it if I could use Simplify3D for all my printing needs.

Re: Ailerons out of a tapered wall - slicing weirdness

I had "Allow single extrusion walls" and "Allow single extrusion fill" as well as "Allowed perimeter overlap" at 12% Minimum extrusion length was 1mm, minimum printing width was 50%, max 200%, and endpoint extension distance was .2mm. (I think some of those were default...

Re: Ailerons out of a tapered wall - slicing weirdness

I've tried that setting both ways, and it didn't seem to make a big difference. Sorry I missed the notification I had a message. The file in question is here: https://www.instructables.com/id/Body-Camera-Phone-Mount/ although Shaun revised it to have a thicker edge. It wouldn't be hard to build a te...

Ailerons out of a tapered wall - slicing weirdness

I ran into a weird issue slicing a part with a wall that tapers. Cura sliced it fine, making the entire wall two layers wide when it 'tapered'. S3D, on the other hand, made a weak "Aileron" out of the wall. https://scontent-lax3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/103587203_10222616728547346_973654524...

Re: Guide for E3D V6 + CR-10S Settings?

Actually, water bottles are made out of PETG, not PLA. PETG doesn't smell at all when you print it. I've just made hundreds of COVID-19 face shields out of it. ABS is what outgasses, although I inadvertently printed some and it didn't smell as bad as the adhesive on the PEI sheet on the Monoprice MP...

Re: Volcano 0.8mm Nozzle on a CR-10 - Settings?

I'm also having horrible luck. I'm also the volcano on PETG which is pretty bad for stringing ANYWAY. I get a lot of 'leaves' sticking upfrom the interior fill (due to the bridging issues with PETG I run never less than 30% fill). The print heads makes a grinding noise all the time as it prints; it ...

Re: Spiral Floor

Thank you! Looks like it was "external fill pattern" under Infill, which I have to admit I didn't know what was :) It would be great if it could go 'out' as I'll get a drip (I'm using a really big nozzle, .8mm or 1.2mm), but the spiral in at least works! It seems like if I have a hole in t...

Spiral Floor

Is there any way to print the floor of a vase mode object with anything other than the flat horizontal lines? I'm printing a clear disk and would like a slightly more artistic pattern than a circle with some lines in the interior. I've thought of doing 100% infill but maybe didn't get the way to mak...
