Re: Exporting stl file with the internal structure

Also, be advised that infill in S3D is related to and dependent on the location of part on the bed, and not on the shape of the part. Put the part in one location, you get one pattern orientation, on another location, a different pattern orientation. Rotate the part, and all bets are off. Even if yo...

infill pattern tied to bed and not objects

See bug: https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=14853 for a similar issue as it pertains to supports. The issue: Let's say we have a square cylinder, 10mm on a side and 100mm long. We set a 20% infill with -60 and 60 as our infill angles. The orientation of the object is laying on it's sid...

support pattern tied to platform - not model

While the guys that coded this will likely call this oversimplification a 'feature' or 'optimization', it is clearly a shortcut that really cheeses out of doing the right thing. Let me explain if anyone is unfamiliar with this issue (and by the way I did search for this issue, and came up empty hand...

Re: Pause @Z

To clear up a problem, noted earlier, about REPLACE not modifying the line. The reasoning is that the person was looking for "; layer <num>, \n ", and of course the newline was not to be found there. You can as others have noted put the changes before the layer comment, but I like it after the layer...

Re: Windows 10 update causes simplify 3d to stop working

That's weird, and not at all normal. So I understand: * windows update runs (does it reboot?) * you try to start S3D and it will not respond, not do anything? No error messages? * you are using the latest version of S3D, correct? If it does not reboot itself, do you reboot before trying to run S3D? ...

Re: Feature Request: {IF not OLDTOOL = n}

The feature is already implemented. The correct syntax for this action is:

Code: Select all

;{IF OLDTOOL!=n} DO STUFF ;

;for example:
{IF NEWTOOL!=[old_tool]} G1 E-15 T[old_tool] F2400 ;

Re: Slower speed for Dense Support - script?

Shooting from the hip here, but you might want to experiment with the layer change script section. It's likely you'll know the layers of the model that are at interface points, and those will likely not change, so you can test for the layer, and if it matches, slow down for that layer only. If it's ...

Re: New User with CR10s printer

I also have a CR-10s. The first thing I did out of the box was remove the bed by unscrewing the four level adjusting screws and removing the aluminum plate. This gives you access to the Y-axis carriage. I needed to loosen one side of the rollers and then using a clamp lightly preload the rollers aga...
