[SOLVED] Bug while generating support

Dear Sir, I'm the happy owner of a MakerGear M3 ID printer. The slicer I use is Simplify3D, version 4.1.2, on a Macintosh. I asked Simplify3D to produce the gcode for the model joined, with support from anywhere. Capture d’écran 2021-03-29 à 00.12.15.jpg Unfortunately, it seems that Simplify3D faile...

Nozzle diameter impact on Extrusion multiplier

Hello, I tried printing on my Makergear M3 with a 0.5 nozzle. Tuning the hot end heigth works fine, since the MakerGear software deals with various nozzle diameters. But as soon as I tried printing my own models, it fails always, by underextrustion. Even if I specify the right nozzle diameter to Sim...

Re: Same gcode with .5 and .35 Nozzles

Hi, thanks for your suggestion. As you pointed out, S3D suffers from many bugs. I contacted the support earlier for printing outside the bed. I regret the choice of Makergear regarding their slicer. Cura is free, and clearly more reliable. Nevertheless, this simple question remains: Why is the softw...

Same gcode with .5 and .35 Nozzles

I have to use a 0.5 nozzle for a specific filament. I had a lot of problem trying to print with it until I check differences between the gcode produced for a .35 nozzle, and the one produced for a .5 nozzle. Except the date of generation, and some comments, the diameter is not changing anything to t...

Re: How to edit models

Hello, thanks for your answer. I have two remarks: Is the double click only a "shortcut" for a normal feature reachable with a menu ? I hope so. Then, IMHO, the dialog that appears and must be filled with numerical values is all but simple. Even the very simple cura embedded in octoprint offers both...

How to edit models

Hello, I own a Makergear M3 ID. It's a very good printer. Unfortunately, I have to choose between the simple Cura included in OctoPrint, or Simplify3D. But I haven't found how to rotate an object along the three axes with simplify3D, and the included version of Cura is very limited. I think that it ...
