Re: Crossing printed surfaces, leaves ozing trails

Now i got a great example of, lets say, less than optimal travelmoves. Everything i can has been set to make as nice a result as possible, meaning it has been allowed to travel all it wants, and each layer looks nice, EXCEPT for oblivious travelmoves. Only thing i left out is retraction, if i turn i...

Re: Ender 3 - Stringing and Oozing

Looking at the pictures of the Cura and the S3D prints, the extrusion show a lot more filament in the S3D one, i would give Extrusion multiplier a lower value. Even the tower looks much thicker.

Re: Coast Compensation

I think the root of the problem lies in the fact that the tool head get to where it needs to go, stops and then Retracts, the relatively long period the head is at a standstill, mother earth is messing things up, by having gravity pull filament from the nozzle. We need to remove the filament, so the...

Re: Retraction, needs more options

I am forgetting something. Solid and Infill Layers, there is a big difference, as Infill layer are not visible from the outside, but Solid layers are. So Solid layers need to be treated Filament wise as, "Crossing Outlines", as the whole Retraction Issue is about visible surfaces with diff...

Re: Retraction, needs more options

Come to think of it. The two modes are not Inside same Island and Island to Island, but a question of weather "Outline is Crossed or Not" , because the essens above is weather or not one or more Outlines are crossed, and use retraction, coast and wipe, depending on crossing or not crossing...

Re: Retraction, needs more options

Hi Jake, Yes, i have tried every single setting in FFF Settings. Except Bridging settings and Tool change. Minimum Travel for Retraction does not solve the Island to Island until the 2 islands are more than the minimum travel distance apart, so that would help me when the islands have been printed f...

Retraction, needs more options

I my fight against oozing trails, and the mess of cleaning it afterward, i have done quite a few tests to get wood filamant to "behave", and i think i have ended up with the perfect solution, but for that to work i need a few options. The Extra row of settings needed, would be for, when to...

Supports and Rafts

Hi, I have done quite a few parts with support and some with raft, and i must say, the raft is impressive, and supports are FAR FROM. IMO Rafts are Supports and supports are just plain irritating. A raft is easy to take away, leaving little to no filament, where it should not be, but supports, most ...

Re: Crossing printed surfaces, leaves ozing trails

I killed the issue, by ignoring the "random directional moves" that are visible on my print, and COMPLETELY disabled all retraction, and turned up the print speed. Retraction has SEVERAL other issues, that are NOT related to S3D, mainly, the toolhead is at a standstill WHILE doing retracti...
