Re: First layer not 100% filled

Playing with the different settings helped a lot, I have now a much better first layer, thanks for helping me. Good morning, sir, I think I have a problem similar to PatrickJ's. I have a BLtouch and I added the G29 in the starting Gcode. However, it seems that simplify3D does not take into account t...

Re: First layer not 100% filled

Thanks for your help. Here is a picture of the bottom of the piece printed: IMG_0476.jpg I would say that the issue is the same all over the piece, don't you think so? Concerning the bed levelling, I have a BL Touch. I have set the Z probe offset so that when Z is set to 0, I can slide a sheet of pa...

First layer not 100% filled

Hi,

Here is a picture from my last print, during the first layer:

It's far from perfect... What settings should I change to get a better first layer?

Factory file is attached.

Thanks,
Patrick

Re: Issue with a very simple piece

No factory file, but.........Inspirational guess! Use the Separate Connected Surfaces option on the Mesh menu. What is this command supposed to do? Nothing happens when I click on it... Yeah, it's just how the perimeters work out on that part. Increase your extrusion width to .42mm and you're golde...

Issue with a very simple piece

Hi, I have designed a very simple piece in sketchup, exported as STL, and imported in S3D : s3d_piece1.png One printed, I noticed that there is a gap between the central part and the base : s3d_piece2.jpg At first, I started to blame the printer (Eryone Thinker SE), but when I looked at the preview ...

Thank you for your reply, it is very clear now. I am still discovering the software and its possibilities, but my first results are promising!

Supports are different in model and preiew

Hi, First of all, I have to precise that I am completely new to Simplify3D, that I bought one hour ago. I have used Cura for one day, and wanted a software that gives me more control. So maybe I am missing something obvious. I have loaded a model, and changed the settings for the supports, as I want...
