Re: V5 - Defining Custom Infill Angles - Missing feature?

Looks like infill angles weren’t included. Since we use them on every project, this new update is useless for us.

Was this fixed/included in V5.1?

Re: V5 - Defining Custom Infill Angles - Missing feature?

We looked at this some more, and no doubt, we can’t print our models using V5.xx. Without the variable angles, we can’t get the infills to fill correctly and our top layers don’t adhere to the lower layer. Our model under V4.2 prints 25 minutes faster with 300 more mm of filament than V5.xx. Our mod...

Re: multiple materials / multiple extruders / multiple objects

Short answer is no. You would have to do extensive gcode mods by hand using an editor. What you are proposing is possible, but only for a handful of g&m codes. Any Extrusion multiplier must be done and sliced per process and can’t be modified post process. You can edit and enter any virtual conf...

Re: multiple materials / multiple extruders / multiple objects

Greetings, Sounds like you have a lot going on at one time, and it needs to be simplified. 1. S4 uses Repetier. 2. In any print, no matter how complicated or simple, ALL gcode is cloned from E0. The ONLY settings that aren’t cloned is TEMP and (fans if individual per head). All Extrusion Multiplier'...

Re: V5 - Defining Custom Infill Angles - Missing feature?

I finally had a chance to look at V5 and apply it to our product www.pitchouts.com We exclusively used S3D V4.xx Our pitchout is one of the most complex pieces of geometry with over 20 separate segments with different custom infill Angles both infill and external patterns. After spending some consid...

Re: Feature comparison version 4 vs 5

Have you tried to slice and print using a previous model that you had complicated - &+ angles? Is the infill angle still consistently orientated with X and Y axis regardless of bed placement? Any rotation of the model would change everything as far as infill start and stop positions and print he...

Re: Different infill around a hole

Do a separate drawing of just the area you want reinforced, export from your drawing program the nested separate files to .stl Import both files to S3D. Assign two different processes, one for each import. Select 100% infill on the nested additional infill. Error will pop up asking if you are aware ...
