got any other dead horses to beat? I mean last day of the 3rd month of 2024 and you are just about covering the same topic during these first few months of this year.
Simply giving an answer to the question by giving some perspective.
It was about 5 years from v4 to v5 and then there was a $60 charge for v5. It has been about 2 years and counting since V5 was released. Even v5 is about 5 years behind all other free slicers. Personally, I cannot come up with 1 reason to pay for S3D any longer. Pretty much all free slicers are _yea...
I don't see that many people are having issues with Studio or Orca slicer. Regardless, those slicers are still _years_ ahead of S3D and all indications are that they will simply increase that lead as time goes on. S3D was silent for 5 (?) years with _nothing_ done. Then they released v5 and a year l...
Are you forgetting about Version 5.1? That was actually the largest incremental update we have ever released. https://www.simplify3d.com/products/sim ... rsion-5-1/ I did mention v5 and 2 updates. v5, v5.1... all it whatever you want. v5.1 or any other v5 version only adds some features that free s...
One year ago yesterday v5 was release. Since then we've seen a couple of small updates of basically bug fixes. Nothing at all even in the past 5 months. Even v5 is still _years_ behind all other _free_ slicers and it's simply falling further behind on a daily basis. I bought v5 as I felt it was good...

Simplify3D does not handle network configuration; its primary job is to generate G-code for your 3D printer based on the settings you provide.
Who's asking for it to handle network configuration? I was only asking for it to include the ability to modify it's own stored printer profile information.
Perhaps add just an open field for notes on a profile. I don't know of another slicer that has this. For example, perhaps under the Other tab just add a box at the bottom that will accept any input and only store that info with the profile. Personally, I'd use it to note the max/min of certain setti...
This is controlled by your router. Call your ISP and ask them to modify your LAN settings so that printer receives the same IP address. As long as the printer is on when they call-it should be an easy thing for them to do. Tom An ISP has nothing to do with any device connected to the router. This i...
The IP address does change every few times I connect. What I ended up doing was creating a new printer for each new IP address, each ending with the IP address (ie CR10SPro 150, CR10Spro 147, etc.). I'll be changing modems this week and will need to look into setting up a static IP address. Current ...
At this time I'm not able to set a static IP for my printer so it keeps changing. Is there a way to change this in S3D without setting up a whole new device? in Machine Control Panel? That is, can I just edit the IP address within the current printer setting for Wifi?
