Retraction before layer 1 starts

The issue I'm facing is that S3D sends a retraction command before it starts printing layer 1. If I do not use a skirt/brim then the first part of layer 1 is starved of filament. It is not part of my start script, it looks like S3D is putting the command in there. How do I stop it from happening, th...

Surface roughness and bubbles

Hi All, I printed this frame which came out pretty well except for some strange effects on the flat surfaces. On the flat surfaces it is happening all around, on the surfaces angled up it only seems to be happening along one side, the other 3 sides don't have it. The filament is Spectrum Silk Bronze...

Wanhao D12 500

Hi All, I received my D12 500 (dual) today and was a bit disappointed that the printer is configured in Cura 4.6 (old version) and not 4.8. I would like to create a generic printer in S3D and copy the profile over from Cura. Start script and ending script are easy but I'm a bit stumped on the tool c...

Re: Guider IIs extruder jam

The support team at S3D advised me to check the box "Update firmware Configuration", even though it say Flashforge Dreamer and I have a Flashforge Guider IIs. I have to say that seemed to do the trick, not a single jam up in the extruder since having done that. I also did a reset and went ...

Layer Counter in preview gone crazy

Hi All,

The layer counter in preview is showing a crazy high layer count - 271,019. I didn't know there could be a print with 271thousand layers.

Any ideas on how to fix this, I tried un-install/re-install which didn't help

Thanks

Guider IIs extruder jam

Hi all, I purchased S3D this week and I am trying to move from Flashprint to S3D but I am not having any luck. The direct extruder on my Guider IIs jams every time I use gcode from S3D, same models and same settings (as close as I can get) using Flashprint work just fine, same PLA. I often run my pr...
