In the Simplify3D screenshot, the two different fill types are different shades of green. This means they are printed at different speeds. Printing at different speeds makes me think that the shorter moves around the part's edges are Interior Fill (internal), not Solid Fill (external). This would be...

Hi guys! Thanks for your interest in being able to download the latest profiles directly from a central repository. We don't yet have something like this available to our users. But I can certainly see the benefit that would add for a lot of our customers! I'll document this request for our develop...

Have you tried Linear Advance (Marlin)/Pressure Advance (RepRap)? These features advance or retard the extruder based on toolhead acceleration, to mitigate just the sorts of issues you have described.
