Those use some really specialized pathing to optimize the continuous fiber filaments. Best of luck with that.

Re: .stp or .STEP file for Simplify3D

I will say. GrabCAD Print does allow import of Step files which allows to processing of things to be done completely different. since the geometry is not mesh, it allows the person to select geometry such as cylinders "holes" and allow those selected faces to to have specific setting like...

Continued profile management: "Modified"

First, I'm very happy with the profile management improvements between v4 and v5, especially the ability to assign settings to preset groups. I would like there to be a little smarter parsing of profile changes. Currently, using the preset groups (i. e., Auto-Configure for xx) adds the "(modifi...

Re: Extrusion Multiplier

I am having an issue where I am trying to save the extrusion multiplier setting. When I update this setting it does not let me "update profile". And when I exit the Edit Process Settings and come back it resets to 0.10 no matter what i change it to. This seems to happen after I Prepare to...

Re: update or replace STL model file

+1 for this feature. The current CAD update feature is great and all, but it doesn't allow for user control. This topic discusses the current state of the feature: https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?p=63886#p63886 Unfortunately, the current "automatic" CAD update doesn't allow for ...

Re: Extrusion Multiplier

The customer did a lot of tests and eventually confirmed the issue was actually being caused by their anti-virus software (they were using Sophos). I can confirm that our company runs Sophos, and this isn't the first Sophos-specific bug I've experienced. A Sophos update would also be consistent wit...

Re: Extrusion Multiplier

I'm having the exact same problem.
The only way to get the extrusion back is to open a good factory file.
I'm having a similar issue with adjusting the support angle; if I change it from anything but the default 45 degrees, it puts support everywhere.

Re: Copy a process from one Factory File to another?

I think you can export your process as a printer profile, and then import it into your other factory file, but then you'll always have two separate profiles holding your configuration settings. I don't think there's an easy way to automatically pull the configuration into another profile, but the op...

Re: .stp or .STEP file for Simplify3D

Hi Simplify 3D. Would it be possible to import a .stp, .STEP file directly into the slicer and process that instead of a .stl as a .stp will give a much better result and better accuracy. A .stp file includes entirely different data than just the polygons required to create a model. Viewing and par...

Re: Gaps in model after slicing

It's still absolutely an issue with the model. Can you upload it?
What program do you use to check? Does it check for open boundaries or inverted normals?
