So there's a reason I made this thread, and now it's important to mention why: This was a very easy-to-answer question thread about a feature many people are asking about. S3D-Jason is on these forums answering questions actively, and this should have been a quick one: is it in development and if so...
The problem is that S3D takes a short cut by creating an invisible grid on the bed. And supports are only placed on those grid points. So one approach is to move the model around slightly and see if you can get a better auto create support result and then edit from there. I agree they shouldn't tak...

Hello,
I found the same problem on many files
For sure, it's not just one file, it's lots of them. The support generation is just garbage unless it is extremely straight forward overhangs with no thinking required by the program. Complexity is beyond it, and that makes me sad.
It might help to lower the size of your support pillars. They look a little large for that ledge. For example, instead of using 4mm pillars, try 1-2mm in size. I tried that, it was bad for all possible options, I tried everything from 1mm to 4mm and every single time it missed large patches of over...
I mean, Prusa has had this for ages, Cura too, I admit it's a great addition to S3D but it's certainly not worth the cost. (says the person who did buy the upgrade to V5, don't get me wrong, lol) Basically my point is, if I can get it anywhere else for free, why does that make it "worth the cos...
Horizontal Inner Size Compensation is what you want. If you hover over it, it specifies in more detail: "The distance to offset holes and cutouts", negative values expand holes, positive will make the holes smaller.
