Simplify 3D does currently only provide a Z-Value check (Clearance of the nozzle and fan area on the highth). It would be very helpfull to have also a X,Y-area collision check. Do you have also Simplify V4 running ? If yes - try the same story with Simplify V4. If that is working - the save those settings into a factory file (V4: Save factory settings) Import those into V5 and try again. The topic with the different paths/ folders is solved.

In V5 is the possibility to set the following value to "remind Simplify3D - the different folders"

Menu Tools / Options : Register General / Value: File Selection Behaviour must be set to 'Remember a unique..."

V4-SW was able to remember different paths / folders for importing a model and storing GCode (save after preparation). V5 is only remembering the last path/folder. Using Octoprint Or Klipper (which is still not supported by V5 :cry: ) makes this very annyoing - as the GCode is of corse on a central ...
