On the printer screen, select Tools > Settings > Adv.Mode > Auto Calibration

Using Custom Zones would be a better idea. It is in the bottom left corner of Edit Process Settings.

You can drag the process you want to print/preview to the top of the processes, then you will have the preview of that print bed.

While dynamic line width that adjusts intelligently according to feature sizes would be an interesting idea, I believe First Layer Width can already be used in this case to have a different line width than the rest of the layers.

Most of the profiles in the Configuration Assistant already have settings for common materials like PLA, PETG, ABS, etc. It should be under the Material auto-configuration in Edit Process Settings.
