Re: My custom M2 profile

I've been printing quite a lot with my M2. Here's my SDCreator 1.0.6 profile that's been working well for me. I've turned off random start points and infill, I build a lot of structural parts and I'm not sure if it helps the esthetics. Temperatures are set 60 for the bed and 190 for extruder for PLA...

Re: My 2 Cents.

I've been printing non-stop with my M2 and Creator, this is the best printer and software for the least amount of money! It's painful to look in on the M******t forum, those poor souls, if they only knew.

Re: My custom M2 profile

I'm not getting nice holes with "firmware supports G2/G3 commands" selected, I've unchecked this and checked "enable arc compensation" and I'm now getting more accurate holes. My test piece has 3,5 and 7mm holes which still print undersized by about .25mm. This is nothing new whe...

Re: My custom M2 profile

It's in a zip file and you'll have to uncompress it, this board won't allow a .fff extension so I zip them up. Please let me know if that was the problem.

Re: My custom M2 profile

1.0.6 is really good, I've stopped falling back on Slic3r and Pronterface and I'm now using Creator exclusively. They've come a long way fast and I think if they keep it up this will be the only game in town.

Here is the latest profile I've been printing with.

Re: Feedback and Requests

On the Mac OS, after selecting a model to process, that folder should be persistant for the save operation, really annoying to hunt for a folder I just used. It would be great to have an option to go straight to print from the currently processed model without having to preview first, maybe a new ic...

Re: Ideal Fan Control Settings

I vote for the way Slic3r handles it too or at a very minimum ramp up after the first layer(s) are finished. Also, active cooling set at 100% drives the fan at full voltage, 65% delivers 12-13 volts. I know you can run these fans at 19 volts, but I wasn't aware of this until I checked it with a volt...

Re: Print results on M2

I've printed a 20X10 calibration cube at .2mm layer and 25% infill in PLA. I had to raise my bed and extruder temperatures to get the first layer to stick. It's surprising how a slight change in temperature is the difference between pushing a ball of PLA around and actually printing a model. Here ar...

Re: My custom M2 profile

Thanks for the tip on bridging. I didn't say they are better than Slic3r, but I think they're on the right track. It was a really rough start for me too, I checked "monitor temperature" on the first print and my M2 was going crazy, I'm glad they fixed that quickly. I'm hoping they keep imp...

My custom M2 profile

I've been playing with some of the Creator profile settings for my stock M2 using PLA. I'm NOT an expert, I just wanted to share what's been working for me with others. It would be great to have a thread discussing what works and what doesn't. What's different about this profile: First layer is %120...
