I've been printing non-stop with my M2 and Creator, this is the best printer and software for the least amount of money! It's painful to look in on the M******t forum, those poor souls, if they only knew.

It's in a zip file and you'll have to uncompress it, this board won't allow a .fff extension so I zip them up. Please let me know if that was the problem.

1.0.6 is really good, I've stopped falling back on Slic3r and Pronterface and I'm now using Creator exclusively. They've come a long way fast and I think if they keep it up this will be the only game in town.

I vote for the way Slic3r handles it too or at a very minimum ramp up after the first layer(s) are finished. Also, active cooling set at 100% drives the fan at full voltage, 65% delivers 12-13 volts.
