Re: 2.1 has simply quit importing stl files!

Thanks LeonMF, the D&D seemed to work. At least it let me slice a model this time. Getting ready to print right now. Strange though that I could import earlier and now it has just stopped.........on BOTH machines. Uhg, I hate these late nights. My last late night was spent putting a camera modul...

Re: 2.1 has simply quit importing stl files!

I'm totally stumped! I just uninstalled, restarted the computer, downloaded a new copy, reinstalled, and it will not import an stl file. It just hangs up on my iMac and MacBook Pro. And it was working fine on both computers. I'm at a total loss. Gonna have to cancel my demo tomorrow. How sad. Dave C

2.1 has simply quit importing stl files!

Has anyone had this happen to them? S3D has simply quit importing stl files. I have tried it on 3 different computers. They are all Macs running OSX Mavericks. It has been working on them perfectly. I even used my laptop a few weeks ago at a mini Maker Faire. It ran all day long, perfectly. It has j...

Re: Makergear M2 Configuration

Jimc, Your parts look great! Yes, I have been printing abs at 190c. I know that sounds low, but I have been getting really good layer adhesion. I am going to slowly raise the temp and see how the results vary. I'm a little leary on setting it at 220. The last time I did that, I burned out a MG hot e...

Re: Makergear M2 Configuration

Jimc and dalew8abz, Thanks guys. I've been watching this thread and have made some of your suggested changes. The .88 multiplier and 2.8 coast produced some flawless parts in white abs. I did however turn on arc detection and ran some black abs parts. Still got the random "nubbies", even w...

Feature Request-layer numbering in preview

S3D, Would it be possible, in PREVIEW, to be able to "click" through layers and have a text box showing which layer the build is on? That way we would know exactly which layer we were on in order to adjust the hot end temp accordingly. I know we can use the sliders, but that only gives us ...

Re: Beginner - Settings to Try Adjusting?

@jfjohnny5 I have been getting amazing results from my M2. I will print the 5 mm calibration steps on my machine and compare and post the results. I will also post my fff settings for CREATOR. I'll also post some "hints and tips". From my experience, everything begins with having a level b...

My 2 Cents.

I just wanted to chime in about "Creator". I have been more than pleased with your product. I was very frustrated trying to decifer and use multiple programs(pronterface, slic3r, repetier) just to print. Actually, I never really successfully printed anything using that method to my satisfa...
