Re: first import fails - "part appears to be extremely small

A couple of thoughts... I like you had the same experience re: the extremely small object problem. A little research into STL format identified the problem. STL files are dimensionless, that is they do not save the unit of measurement. Most (if not all) slicers assume millimeters as the default meas...

Re: Extrusion widthon layer 1?

Ok, then that's my problem. I will decrease the height a bit more and recheck. Thanks!

Re: Extrusion widthon layer 1?

So is the extrusion height setting decreasing the z clearance and keeping the flowrate constant or what?

The logic here seems backwards to me, sorry if I'm missing something obvious...

Re: Extrusion widthon layer 1?

OK, I saw the layer settings you're talking about, but the height vs. width terminology threw me. If I increase the height setting on the first layer then, will it increase the extrusion rate? That would be the thing I'm looking for (i.e. fatter first layer extrusion). I'll check out the newest vers...

Re: Extrusion width on layer 1?

The z stop is ok, slic3r prints the same model fine. And I'm using a clean surface with hairspray, and still seeing the problem.

Extrusion widthon layer 1?

I've got the software working OK, and getting some good prints, but still struggling with adhesion problems on the first layer. It looks to me like the problem is twofold- 1. The extrusion width is really small, much narrower than those printed with slic3r. 2. The speed of the head sometimes creates...

Re: Extruder temp problem with multiple prints

My prints are all from USB lately.

I notice the problem whenever I complete a print, and want to print a new item (or another copy). It doesn't seem to matter whether I issue the command manually by typing it in, using the set temp controls from the config panel, or g-code embedded command.

Re: Extruder temp problem with multiple prints

I'm runninf 1.07, but I do still have 1.05 and 6 on the drive. I'll do a wipe and a fresh install and see if that fixes the problem.

Thanks!

Extruder temp problem with multiple prints

Hi, I'm seeing an interesting issue. When I connect to the printer via the machine config panel to print, things work fine the first time. However if I stop a print, or go back to the model window to make changes to the process, the extruder temperature will not respond. Instead it falls back to the...

Re: Post install directory error

Yes, a restart fixes the issue and it's non-recurrent. Just thought it worth pointing out to ensure it wasn't an application issue.
