Re: API for add on hardware

I was hoping that it wouldn't take a year for Simplify3d to use this piece of hardware. I have a Makergear M2 and they have a dual extruder update but it reduces your build platform. With this hardware you don't compromise your hardware. Your going to use lots more filament but up to three different...

API for add on hardware

Here is an interesting new piece of hardware.
http://www.mosaicmanufacturing.com. Could you take a look at it and integrate into Simply 3D on its release?

Re: Layer Height

I though a clean step was how tall your object is divided by the layers. Fractions are not a good thing. I just print at .1 and it works just fine.

Re: Request: More smarts in setting the extruder temperature

It's the algorithm. I just start the first temp 10 degrees below the desired level. When it reaches the desired temp, because of the overshoot, I reset it to what I want and hit Set. The temp will drop and rise slowly as you described. But this way the material will not scorch or start to gas. And i...

Re: bad vibration

Im interested to hear what comes out of this one, what printer do you own? Use the JOG controls and listen for the vibration. If you cant hear the vibration it may be comming from the extruder.

Re: dragging

I'm a big fan of the Jog controls. So this is how I do it. Setup the skirt outlines for 3-5 and watch it carefully along with the first layers. If you see , not sure what the term used is, excess material just use the Extruder jog dial down, sometimes to 50 for the first ten to 20 layers. Turning th...

Re: HELP! Where do I adjust the right thing?

Extrusion Diameter is the size of the hole in your extruder nozzle. should be in you specifications. Once you set it up dont change it. Auto extrusion width . Just click the box so the software will do the calculations, for now keep it simple. Extrusion Multiplier Simply lets you adjust the flow ra...

Re: Ver 1.1.5 Bridging

Pretty impressive, haven't had prints push the M2/ Creator that far, yet..... :D I'm firmly convinced the M2 and Creator are the finest setup in Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) in it's class, and beyond. If you can't do it with a M2 and Creator, hang it up and buy an Eggbot. http://thingiverse-prod...
