Re: Can't connect to Solidoodle 3

The post right below yours had a suggestion that might help. Just disable the "Wait for startup command" option.

Re: X,Y,Z Origin orientation

The axis orientation can be changed by going to Tools > Options and clicking on the Machine tab. You can then flip the X/Y/Z axes around until the 3D preview machines your machine.

Re: Profile for Replicator 1

They already have the jogging and temperature controls working with MakerBot/Sailfish machines. I expect that some of this will be coming through in the next software update. The next step is things like SD card commands and high-speed x3g streaming.

Re: Feature request: more macro buttons

steve - Without ruining the surprise, let me just say that I think the upcoming 1.1.5 release is going to help you out big time ;) 13brv3 - What version of the software are you using? The ability to change the labels for the Macro buttons was added a few versions ago. Go to Tools > Firmware Configur...

Re: First Layer Issues

This is only a problem with the very first layer and was just due to conflicting settings. For example, setting a manual extrusion width and then changing other properties that "should" affect this width (but didn't because it was manually set). Try setting your first layer height to 100% and then u...

Re: questions about settings, helpfile?

The manual is not done yet, but there are people being hired in specifically to help with that. Our programmers have their hands full with some of the new features we are trying to add. In case anyone didn't know this, they have done a great job of making sure that every setting in the program has a...

When you connect to the board using any of these other programs, does the board actually reset? For example, if you are using the Marlin f...

Re: Asymmetric supports on "symmetric" model

Hey Jim, First off, I had a look at the fishing lure model and you should know that there are a lot of problems with that STL file. Backwards normals, self-intersecting surfaces, etc. Creator has some great tools to help you identify and potentially solve these problems, but I just wanted to make su...

Re: Temperature output log

Hey Jim, There's no way to output the temperature data to a file, but if you're using the Marlin firmware you might have good luck with the M303 command. It runs a PID autotune and will tell you the best P, I, and D values for your setup. It's usually best to do this from a cold nozzle. While it mig...
