[ADDED] Better top surface stitching & bosses on top layers

I've found when there is a feature on top of a surface, a top layer of one surface only goes under a feature by one perimeter, even verified in the g code simulator, and even if I've specified more perimeters. This weakens parts, and sometimes I've experienced some curl back too, leaving gaps. At th...

Re: Dual Extruder Skirting

I would like this too.

I'd also like a "wipe and prime" tower option. I'd like to see a hollow cylinder so it sticks better than a more compact solid square footprint another slicer uses for a tower.

Re: More options for stronger infill.

I question the value of random infill placement. It's pretty weak. Whatever the reason there is to offer it, it should be off by default. I'd like to see square and hex infill. Linear infill at perpendicular angles which is really mostly bridges making for a spongy infill, isn't as good as other sli...

Re: .4mm thin wall cube

The .8 thin wall model I attached was slicing weird also. The slicing wouldn't show anything until the top of the model. I didn't try to print due to this. It works if I manually set the extrusion width to 0.39mm. You will need a 0.35mm or smaller nozzle to make it work. Even then, it's extruding o...

Re: .4mm thin wall cube

One problem is that for a wall like that, each face gets a perimeter line. 0.4mm wall like that needs a nozzle smaller than 0.2mm since it's expecting to trace a perimeter for the inner and outer edge. How I make a part like that is take a full cube (i.e. no hole in the center like in the sample mod...

Re: Retraction not done between "islands" of support

After more careful re-examination, the machine does retract for support, it didn't look like the shaft was turning, but it was. I apologize for the mistaken problem report.

Retraction not done between "islands" of support

I'm finding that the machine isn't retracting when moving between different areas of support material. This is causing blobs to show up on the part when the machine traverses between these support material areas. Is there a setting I'm missing? If there is, I haven't found it yet.

Re: Allow bridge extrusion multiplier > 100% please

I've been building with ABS and PETG. Fans just cause trouble for those materials. I'm realizing that extruding more by itself isn't the way to go. I'm thinking that it would be nice if the initial bridges were allowed to be 2 or more layers thick for otherwise super thin layers. Maybe call it "spar...

[ADDED] Allow bridge extrusion multiplier > 100% please

For bridges with thin layers, I think it would help a lot to extrude more or have the bridge be a thicker layer. The bridge extrusion multiplier setting in S3D doesn't allow me more than 100%. For example, with 0.1mm layers on a 0.4mm J-Head nozzle, it is very hard to bridge, it just ends up tearing...

Update checks don't work

Someone told me 2.1.1 was available and that the software's update check doesn't work. I know it didn't work for me on version 2.0.1.
