Re: Weird holes in model?

ok, well i dumped the model and printed another instead. I have lately begun to run all models through autodesk's 3d print utility, it is really good at repairing models automatic. Much better then netfabb. Netfabb i use when i need to edit errors or to cut objects. It is incredible how many models ...

Weird holes in model?

http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:251563 I have tried slicing this with repetier/slic3r , cura and S3D. All show strange holes around the body. And drillholes inside the model. No errors are reported in these programs. Autodesk 3d print utility and netfabb think it is ok with no errors. So i loaded i...

Re: Start Printing at height ....

If you stop printing at 3.0 mm shouldn't your next start be 3.0mm + layerheight?
Otherwise you will bump into the layer you just printed...?

Re: Bug when pausing/resume v2.1.0 win7 64bit

I agree when moving x y or z manually. but the extrudermotor does not need to know where it is. So it's stupid to have a paus function then? Never be able to change filament..? If moving z then i do it with the buttons, the software should remember how many steps i moved, then move back. That functi...

Re: Feature request: Grid spacing

I can't get that to work. No matter what model i choose, it will not show. s3d say it is too small, scale it? Also, you can model any flat surface and import it into your S3D environment as a grid surface. You use the feature in S3D that allows you to include a model on startup. It's in Tools->Optio...

Re: Feature request: Grid spacing

I have already "complained" about this ;) It is the same for all i think. It should read the machine settings to set the grid i think.
So if you have entered 210x210 as bed, it should be 21x21 squares.

E3D hotend and retraction/coasting.

There is some manufacturing problems with E3D for some of us users when it jams all to often, so the solution is to run almost or no filament retraction. But then it will ooze and string a lot, so i use "coasting" so it will stop extruding a bit before every loop. That goes well for long loops. Coas...
