Re: 4.0.1 on Mac lets computer sleep

Any suggestions? I'm still having this issue. Walk away from Simplify3D for a little bit, Display goes to sleep, All of a sudden my printer is pausing and melting plastic previously printed plastic instead of smoothly printing each layer. I never did find a fix in system preferences. I just know w/ ...

Re: 4.0.1 on Mac lets computer sleep

Which preference? I already have power always on when I'm plugged into wall power but I do let the displays sleep.
Prevent AppNap used to be an option in the general section when you clicked on "Get Info" on the app but it went away in 10.13.

Is there somewhere else now?

4.0.1 on Mac lets computer sleep

I haven't had this problem previously. I don't know if it's circumstantial at the time I upgraded to 4.0.1 or if it's something different in 4.0.1. If I leave the computer for a while and the monitor turns off, S3D stops sending print commands to the printer. The commands are send in slow increments...

Re: Reload Part

Almost 4 years for this feature request. Still using Simplify3D! Still waiting for this particular feature every time I'm designing a new model.

Re: Slicer behavior for thin walled sections

+1 for fixing. I'm printing with MakerBot right now because the model has some thin pre-built in support structures. I kept lowering the nozzle manual width down from .4 to .35 .3 etc and it wasn't picking them up.... so I just switched to makerbot and it's printing fine. So yes, printers can do thi...

Re: Dense Support Layer at Bottom (Solid / Brim)

The dense support layers feature prints up to whatever (100%) thickness at the bottom before starting the normal support density but it seems it only does this if the support is not from the platform. It would be nice if you could have more options * dense support at bottom -> from platform or just ...

Re: Memory leak in 3.1

I've never run S3D on windows, but I've run it on Mac since early 2.0 builds. It's always leaked memory when I parse a lot of models. I have to regularly restart it. (I parse a _lot_ of models.)

Re: Version3.1.1 Any improvements from requests?

I for one have been waiting since early version 2 editions for them to simply fix the memory leaks when you parse models for printing. Here we are a few years later and still nobody has figured out how to run a profiler and find out why S3D takes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 Gigs of memory until at some point my m...

Re: How to get a x3g file from a custom GCode file?

Here is what I do on my Flashforge creator X/Pro

> gpx -g -p -m r1d <in> <out>

you might need to adjust the gpx parameters depending on your specific machine. I've done that on occasion to fix a gcode bug and regenerate the x3g file.
