Re: Dual Extrusion priming best practise....

I think you missed the point of the post sejo. Yes, the point is I want to use S3D exclusively and of course I like the results of S3D better or I wouldn't here in the first place. However, the point of this post is that dual extrusion features in S3D are still lacking as near as I can tell. Unless ...

Re: Dual Extrusion priming best practise....

Just Makerbots.. which coincidently also work great with Makerbot clones like Flashforge, Wanhao et. al though.. I have a Flashforge and it's a great printer. But there is lots of other stuff you can experiment with too. Cura, MatterControl, Prob more I haven't researched a ton. You have to get the ...

Re: Dual Extrusion priming best practise....

One more item on my wish list: * add checkbox to cool down support extruder after no longer needing to print support material. Once no more support material is detected as needing to be printed it could stop printing the prime tower, ooze shield etc for the support extruder and turn it off. I've don...

Re: Dual Extrusion priming best practise....

Indeed there are several things that are very much nicer in S3D. I can quickly tweak the settings for a particular print and quickly preview what that will look like after sliced and quickly repeat several times to ensure I get the print right. That process has no equal in other software I've tried....

Dual Extrusion priming best practise....

So with 3.0, there is a lot of progress toward making a good dual extrusion print. I'm still not getting as good of results as I do with makerbot software though. I was wanting to query what you're all doing that maybe I can do better. * Reasons I still look to Makerbot sometimes ( "+"=Makerbot good...

Re: Jog mode directions wrong on left extruder

I have the same issue with manual commands. Works with T0 but if you change the toolhead to T1 things don't work correct.

Using Sailfish 7.6 on an FFF creator X/Pro.

Anyone make headway on this? If I update the printer firmware will that solve the issue?

Re: The new workflow for adding materials...

So just to get this straight... 1) Export your profile 2) edit with a text editor 3) import the profile 4) delete the original? This seems to me worse than 2.0 was. At least in 2.0 I could just modify the .fff file and the settings would take effect in the UI. Am I missing something big here? If you...

Re: The new workflow for adding materials...

Yeah I understand the process. I had a quite extensive few profiles for 2.x. I was just hoping that for 3.0 I didn't have to manually go add to the xml files again. Seems that is the expected workflow though still.

The new workflow for adding materials...

Under the old 2.x workflow, I'd add a material to the xml file and then add entries for material width, cost, temperature etc. In 3.x when I add a material and change some settings in the process, then go back to an original material. Those settings don't change back how they were or back to what th...
