Re: Memory Leak

Re: perimeter speed not honored uniformly

Does in not help if you set speedoverrides to more than 15 sec? For example 25-30 sec.. Perhaps helps a little. Not really though. If you look at the first layer above the raft it's actually printing a lot faster than it's supposed to. In fact so fast when I printed the part those couple layers had...

perimeter speed not honored uniformly

Attached factory file. You can see in the gcode preview the speed is not being adjusted down until the top of the part. It's printing the shells of the part the same speed as the infill up until the last 1/3 of the part but the shell is supposed to be slower the whole part I'd think. This causes my ...

Re: Default supports are flawed

Except Jimc look closely in your screenshot.. the middle of the wing where it sticks down has no support under it. That's the issue I was addressing.

Re: Memory Leak

I have 16G. Probably wouldn't have noticed either but I"m also in the habit of running 3 different vmware machines at the same time (work related) so I tend to start noticing when something takes a bunch of memory. Should be a piece of cake to track down with Instruments.

Re: Default supports are flawed

I reset the extra distance and separation parameters and tried again before resetting the max angle. The max angle doesn't affect it much, it's the first two parameters. I had already tweaked those before I sent you the factory file which is why it worked for you already.

Memory Leak

This is what happens when I slice a big model (or any model actually just takes longer with smaller models). I've had it get up to 4G before. It gets worse and worse over time and I have to restart S3D before I forget and it eventually causes major machine headaches. On OSX 10.9 Screen Shot 2014-06-...

Flashforge creator X

I'm using retraction = 1.5mm and coast = .5 but I haven't experimented with extra restart distance and wipe. Maybe those will help too. I was wondering what exactly the ooze setting in advanced does though... this seems like it would be applicable.

Re: Default supports are flawed

Did you slice the model? It always looks good in the preview pane.

Re: Ooooooooozzzzzee

I've tried everything from 240 to 260. I believe I may have tried lower but couldn't get the prints to stick or had poor layer adhesion.
