Re: v4.0.1 is out......

Unfortunately there are graphics issues on Win 10 also. Not sure the performance is worse, but the print preview looks horrible compared to v4.0.0. The moire patterns are really bad. Here's an example: This is the Moon City model , sliced at 0.2 mm layer height. The pattern varies as you orbit the ...

It is not divisble by 0.3mm. 65mm/0.3mm = 216,6. Try 64.8mm

Re: v4 64MB bug with Factory file when using big STL files

I just printed the Groot Body. Interestingly the Gcode-File is exactly 65536 KB. But... If I open the File with an Hex Editor it is really only ~48 MB. So it is not really cutted of but file size information and real file size seems to differ. If I make a groot with 0.1mm layer the file size is abou...

Re: Long "coasting" removes loops. No coasting -> blobs/ooze

10mm Retraction seems a little bit too much, even for bowden. Maybe you shold try this the following settings and post images of your print: Retraction Distance: 6-8mm Extra Restart: 0mm Vertical lift: 0.2mm (maybe you should use a lower layer height, 0.33mm is almost the limit for 0.4mm nozzle and ...

Re: PETG blues (well, yellow)

Since PETG is softer than PLA or ABS you must increase the extusion multiplyer about 5-10%.
This is because of the softness of PETG, which gets pressed more in the extruder gear and therefor the effective radius of the gear is smaller, so a lower amount of filament is transported than expected.

Re: Simplify 3d will not chunk my STL. what can I do?

Hey Chris,
because of the Bug of S3D I already mentioned here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7882
I'm not able to make a factory File with your STL because it is too big and currupts the factory file.
So I put the Calibration Cube in it. You can just replace it with your Lithophane.

Re: Simplify 3d will not chunk my STL. what can I do?

I just tried your file with my Ender-2 Profile and had no problems with slicing.
Even Overlap at 10% was ok. And single extrusion also applied

One process - multiple objects - manual support problem

I have a problem with multiple object when using one process. I define manual supports for one process: support1.png Looks fine. But when I slice the project there are supports added to the object where I didn't defined supports. I only get rid of the automatic supports if I use a extreme big pillar...
