Re: Feature Request: Profile Adjustments for Filament Contro

I must say, I really love the current XML system for creating material and quality settings. It's very flexible. :D I like the fact that all parameters can be included in an autoConfigureMaterial section. I found when using flexible filament, that I needed to control a lot more parameters than just ...

Re: Command line slicing

At work we have a need to call slicers from the command line with the STL model specified and the output file specified.

I also would like to know if this is possible using the current Simplify3D. If so, where is it documented? If not, command line support should be added.

Best Place To Share Custom Profiles

Is there a central place where people share profiles for Simplify3D? I made a custom profile for the FlashForge Dreamer. It works great. There are a few things I am tweaking to get it just right. When I'm done I want to share it with others. Should I post a thread here on this forum, or is there a m...

Re: Speed - mm/minute? Why not mm/sec?

I agree. No one is using mm/min for 3D printing. All 3D printing documents I read have these measures given in mm/s. It's very inconvenient to use mm/min. I have to always convert from mm/s values to mm/min just to satisfy Simplify3D. Please change this, or at least make mm/s values an option for us...

Re: Feature Request: FlashForge Dreamer Printer Support

I will try to talk with FlashForge and see if this information can be published. If FlashForge releases this information it will benefit FlashForge in the long run. FlashForge isn't making money from their protocol or their FlashPrint software. They are making money from their hardware. The more ope...

Re: Will this work on the Solidoodle 4?

I'm also looking at a flashforge dreamer but that isn't even out yet, so I don't know how they'd even test this software on that one yet. It's out now. I have a FlashForge Dreamer. It's a great printer. I have also used the MakerBot Replicator 2 and 2X. The Dreamer is a better printer. The Simplify...

Feature Request: FlashForge Dreamer Printer Support

I am using Simplify3D both at work and at home. It's great software. I am using three different kinds of printers: a FlashForge Dreamer, a MakerBot Replicator 2, and a MakerBot Replicator 2X. The MakerBots have direct printing support in Simplify3D. The FlashForge Dreamer does not. I had to create m...

Re: thin wall parts

I imagine having two settings like this: Minimal Wall Shells 0 = No minimal wall shell thickness, if walls are too thin they are not printed (the default behavior we current have with Simplify3D) Minimal Wall Shells 1 = All walls will print, even if too small, and will print at a minimum of 1 shell ...
