Re: Release updates?

Ya I saw that reference too. I don't mind paying an upgrade. I mean the license is 150 so an upgrade might be $50? If it helps speed things along development wise it should be fine. If Ver 4 is a huge upgrade I think they should charge a minimal upgrade fee for it. $20 or so maybe? The 3d print mark...

Re: Release updates?

I know right? 2018 maybe? Lol

I wish S3d would do more small releases than basically jump from version 3 to 4, then probably to 5.

There is a lot of opportunity to improve the software and make progress between the major releases. Yes there was 3.1 and 3.1.1, but nothing huge in those.

Re: Using a 0.2 nozzle - FFCP

You didn't list out much info for us to go on. What specific problems are you having issues with? Any pics? I would do .08 or 80 micron layers minimum. Remember every full step of the stepper is 40 microns so try to step 40, 80, 120 etc. 40 is probably out of range, but 80 and 120 are possibilities....

Re: help with abs please

The problem is with playing with the bed temp too much is it is the principle heater for the build chamber. Most run the build plate too hot, 95c is about right for ABS. Any lower and it won't keep the build chamber hot enough.

Re: RE: Finalizing Next Major Update

I agree, a sneak peek at what's coming up would be very nice. I think this is a very anticipated update, and a lot of people, myself included, can hardly wait for it. The slicing itself is at least as good in many of the free slicers, but the object manipulation and manual supports are better in S3...

Re: Stability issues

thread.factory Actually with 6mm posts 2 shells will work well also. I modeled up a sample so I could see how the posts build up. Dump the honeycomb infill, it sucks for this purpose. Use about 80% rectilinear infill or more, 90% even is ok, but 80 should print a bit faster. I hollowed this out so ...

Re: Stability issues

This most likely doesn't have anything to do with the model, if it did it would show in the preview layers. Try 1 shell and then infill the rest. In this case infill is stronger than shells. A little higher heat can improve layer adhesion. PLA may not be the best filament. PetG is stickier and would...

Re: Extrusion Multiplyer

There is no manual ".45" wall setting. Extrusion width is not a wall thickness. Lower the Ext width to .4 on a .4 nozzle. Don't worry about wall thickness, it is what it is. Hey guys, I'm currently having a weird issue: I have checked the feed rate for my filament and corrected it. The steps for 100...
