How do i speed up the blue areas - see pic :-)

lowspeedxbow.jpg Okay you can see that most of this model is printed at a really painfully low speed. That i had no part in deciding. The first part printed at the designated speed. Then for the easy vertical part it slowed right down. This is simple rectangle with a channel. It doesn't need to pri...

[ADDED] More options for stronger infill.

While the current infill is fast and easy on the printer - it doesn't form a coherent structure inside the model and is consequently very weak. weakinfill_800x596.jpg You can see here that the part broke because the infill doesn't add any lateral strength. You cannot break this part at this point wi...

[ADDED] Ability to move models with mouse

The auto positioning and positioning by menu is good. But the ability to just drag a model to where I want it with the mouse would be extremely useful. It's probably the only aspect of makerware software that I prefer to the simplify3d way of doing things. To just be able to drag the models around s...

how to change print finished tune

I've just read in a s3d review that you can change the tune your makerbot plays at the end of a print. Presumably this applkays to my makerbot clone as well - which does play a jingle at the end of a print. I know it's odd but that would be really cool if I could change it to something different :-)...

Re: Convert Image to 3d

pretty amazing. Works well with png. But how do you crop into a circle. Done that with the picture but it still generates the full square. Is there a way to select just part of a model to print from within s3d ? I could print a square, cut to size and sand the edges. But would be simpler to just sel...

Re: Flashforge Creator compatibility and a few other questio

Okay thanks guys. I'll (gulp) buy it today. Can't honestly remember the last time i paid for software. Always managed with opensource or trial versions. But I've got to the point now where makerware just doesn't cut it and nothing else works on geraldine. Right - no doubt I'll be back when I've got ...
