Re: MakerBot Repeated Disassembly and Retraction Issue Correlation?

How many times have you disassembled and put back together the hotend assembly? I might suggest just ordering a new one to be safe. Also, a complete disassembly of the extruder assembly and deep cleaning would probably be the first thing I try when something like this happens after making no changes...

Re: Missing Lines

I think I've seen this happen on my prints before. Seem to remember the cause being a partial clog. Have you tried cleaning out your nozzle and confirming your filament hasn't soaked up too much moisture? Also, if you check the height at which these issues occur against the S3D preview, are there mo...

Re: PLA Strange Layer Behaviour

Looks like a retraction issue still. Moving from location to location and seeing under-extrusion like this most often stems from retraction settings. You may also need to look into increasing the number of perimeters or infill percentage, as some of the gaps look like they extend into the areas wher...

Re: Retraction issue with dual printing

The last line of your provided code is the first travel move to the beginning of what I assume is the first printing location for T1. Directly after that line is where I would expect priming to take place. Have you tried turning on the skirt and setting it to be printed with all extruders or at leas...

Re: Weird misalignment issue

Extruder calibration would really help in this case. If you're over-extruding consistently and your bed is correctly leveled, it makes sense that after a certain point you would get enough over-extrusion that the nozzle would collide with the part, skip steps, and then resume printing in the wrong l...

Re: Print pausing at random intervals

Stephane, Does your printer include an SD card slot? If so, have you tried running prints from the SD card rather than over USB? What OS are you printing from? OS X has app nap and more recent versions even have other features which are difficult to disable without installing software with that in m...

Re: mm/s

Switch to English, toggle mm /sec, switch back to french? The menu that's opening when you click preferences looks like the firmware configuration menu.

The speeds should stay toggled to mm/sec even after the option for changing it is unavailable.

Re: Ooze Shield + Brim. Fix this already!

Certainly there can be made an argument for the folks designing Simplify3D to look at skirt/brim options. However, saying that there is definitely a right or wrong way to design that feature is notably shortsighted. My point in my prior post was that I seriously doubt they just omitted any programin...
