Re: Long USB run to printer using repeater cable?

Take a look at this page: http://www.yourcablestore.com/USB-Cable-Length-Limitations-And-How-To-Break-Them_ep_42-1.html I wouldn't take what they say as gospel....but at least there may be a way of achieving what you want without too many issues. This is helpful. If you're taking this route towards...

Re: Hey, guys

Welcome Pot8oSh3D! I'd love to hear more about your experiences at MakeXYZ and 3DHubs. I'm sure doing that presents all sorts of challenges this forum could both help solve and/or learn from! :D

Re: Why does this happen?

I've found .2mm layers can draw a nice balance between print quality and speed. Give it a try and see for yourself! :D

Re: Why does this happen?

You should be fine with those settings. Perhaps your machine needs to be recalibrated. As bronzefill is one of the pricier materials I'd try printing some calibration prints in PLA. You definitely want the settings perfect when using <= .1mm layer height, as the margin for errors is much more notice...

Re: My supports need supports!

Exactly how wide are you trying to make your supports on these models with difficult places to adhere supports to?

Re: My supports need supports!

Actually they only appear to if you have enough SMALL supports and a shallow enough base surface for them to rest on. Your Yoda example has much flatter area than a lot of my busts' chest and necks that the ear, chin and other supports rest on. The resulting path layers on the bottoms of the suppor...

Re: My supports need supports!

I haven't completely dialed in my dual extrusion print settings yet but I did this in two colors to really show how the supports do contour to the models surface at the top of the support structure and at the bottom. I can see how you'd think the supports need support but in fact they do not. see at...

Re: Conflict when using multiple processes to define multi p

This could be solved by keeping the layer minimum times OFF and adding a layer change Gcode that pauses for a few seconds.

Scripts tab --> Layer Change G-Code --> G4 P1500 ; Dwell for 1500 milliseconds

Hope this helps. :D
