Have you tried changing your infill outline overlap percentage? It is strange that it only creates a gap on the one side.

You should be able to resume from whatever height your print stopped at. First you would carefully measure what height your print stopped at. Lets say it stopped after 5mm. you would then add a layer to that number and use the advanced feature in S3D to start printing at X height. http://i.imgur.com...

An alternative my friend used before getting an enclosed build area was a space heater. Warm room = Optimal!
