Re: Fit parts on print bed

It's pretty simple to crowd the plate without having problems. You paid a lot of money for the freedom of doing stuff other software doesn't easily do. Simply hold-down the command-key and drag a part close to another part and repeat. They don't need a a lot of space between them. Example below (it ...

Re: Adding Audio Alerts at selects points in a build

For what it's worth...

I use this end script to play audio (several freq's). Used to play a canned 'Jingle' until it kept playing in my head

Works on my Prussa printers and worked on my DiVinci

Re: Pause to Embed magnet or nut

Different ways of doing it and depends on your Printer/Firmware! Gcode/Mcode usage is different so, you need to dig into it a bit... I have different printers and the 'Same' G/M codes do not work on all - it requires Trial & Error. Example Result screenshot below with a Nut inserted. Summary: Genera...

Re: Removing small infill and stopping my printing shaking itself to bits :-)

Excessive shaking results from Stop&Go on short segments/etc. That's what bares out from poor Acceleration Jerk settings.

Re: Accel/jerk settings not changing

Adjusting the Accel Jerk on two Prussa machines I built saved them from shaking to death. It’s been a few years since I messed with ‘Jerk’ and Marlin code... So, will be brief....Perhaps this may help: Attached screenshots show my comments on old printout of the settings reported from Simplify3d by ...

Re: Best settings for small prints

Printed your part using: #1) my default settings (shown below) #2 Adjusted layer height to 0.1mm, Top/Btm layers=3, shells=2 unchanged Printer: Prusa built from a Kit, 0.4 nozzle PLA: esun Results: in both cases, printed as shown in photo Nothing else was tweaked. I’m certain I could get a perfect p...

Re: How toStrengthen Tall Thin Supports

As previously mentioned, you can add a Support Part... Example shows placement of two Support Parts: • one rotated 180º about it’s Z-axis • both were placed under overhang and use the Scaling feature (showing one scaled Z, non-uniform) Attached is the Support Part. You can scale that too as needed (...

Re: Audio driver crash when s3d is open

Perhaps not much help, especially as I no longer use Windows. However, as a musician I’ve had similar Windows problems (before going to Mac) when having different USB devices plugged in. My foggy memory tells me you can try this to help identify issue. Your Widows Control panel will be your tool: Yo...

Re: Filament end management

Filament end Management... good question that deserves an answer. Though I’m familiar with Marlin firmware, there is enough similarity that I can minimally comment... Thus, from my perspective and experience, you should be able to: Enter into the Firmware Code and set (add) code to respond to button...

Re: strings in a tube

Ahh, I see. Without having posted your parts file, it's difficult to really know what the problems could be. However, realizing from what you described and seeing more the photo more clearly, I see you're talking about the 'Overhang'. It's difficult to print in 'Air' without supports unless Bridging...
