Re: Newbie question about pausing.

Below is example of what works on my machines. G & M code commands do not work across the full spectrum of printers - if it works, great. If not, dig into the correct codes for your machine/firmware type. This code (shown in bold font) goes into the field at the bottom of the Scripts panel (it is in...

Re: Printing in a loop?

As others said... It's risky counting on the part not adhering strongly enough to cause problems such as belts jumping cogs... a host of problems. Having said that, once your get past that problem, creating Gcode to do what you want is easy. It can be an Ending script or a separate-stand-alone code....

Re: Auto Configure Setting - PETg?

It took a bit of work to get good PETG prints but, I finally got there. Both of my printers are Prusa (built from kits and modified for V6 hot-ends / etc) No more stringing, blobs…etc. Several print parameters dialed-in. If you review the attached files and tweak your printing, you may get good/simi...

Re: Layer Change Script every X Layer

This link should get you started https://forum.simplify3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1959 - there's info on Layer changes... [EDIT] Follow-up: I may as well add the lines I use to pause at specific layer (idea came from the link, above). Code: {REPLACE "; layer" "M117 Layer"} {REPLACE " Z = " " Z="} ; ...

Re: Z-axis clicking sound

I don’t know about the Creator Pro but, in general... The clicking you describe most likely comes from: #1). Hitting a physical End-Stop but the Limit-Switch is not adjusted to stop machine before hitting physical end-stop. (the belt is clicking over a tooth on the pulley). #2). Bad belt (broken, mi...

Re: Print inner layers faster than outer layers.

The answer is ‘Yes’ you can do it... This is how I do it - it requires a model (.stl) that can be split into two models, One outer, One inner. That’s easy to do if you’re a CAD user or have other software that enables Boolean Subtraction/Differencing. With the two models, simply create two separate ...

Re: Using variables inside S3D

More than anything, this is an FYI... For printers using Marlin firmware (and similar that can be tweaked), implementing Math and a whole range of other tweaks is easily accomplished. Copies of the firmware are posted many places on the net (or, you can edit the one on the printer - just save a back...

Re: Model Positioning Offsets and Bed Coordinates - Any way to find a bed location?

Perhaps the simplest thing to do...

On a Mac: click the model, hold Command key down and drag the model. Other platforms, I don't know keys but, there is one...

Or, simplly double-click the model, a panel opens, change the Position values, click Done.

Re: Model are broken

I repaired your model (using Netfab - my stand-alone verson). There's a Netfab (now owned by another company) service on the net, you can upload your files and get them fixed...

Repaired file attached and screenshot in s3d showing passed manifold...

Re: Simultaneous heating of the bed and extruder.

The first question to consider is: Why do printers heat Extruder and Bed separately?

I recommend a bit of homework before burning your power board... Of course, many printers use a $30 board so, for $30, you can have some fun while creating what will end up as a paper-weight...
