Re: Ghost folders

The files u say are not related to this as Mac tend to save settings in a hidden file, that's macos, not s3d. I said folders, not files. Yes I'm on a Mac and the folders are visible and with the same name of the factory file.

Re: Ironing

Still, ironing seems the way to "go" as in the end fdm is fdm, and an empty "iron" remelting the surface will probably be better than adding any other algorythm to plastic deposition...unless someone comes up with a "liquid" plastic that can fill the holes and get cold quickly at the same time hmmm

Re: Ironing

you can already do this with s3d, I did it few times, create another process on top of the final layer that's 0.1 or 0.05mm off the top, set for that process 0.1 or 0.05mm layer and reduce extrusion multiplier a lot (you can even increase the temp) and that's it .. that process will do the ironing ...

Why the empty project folders?

Not all the times but most of them when I manage files with Simplify3D i end up with empty folders that match the project name and contain subfolders named "models" and "Processes"... Is there any way to stop the software doing this? Is this just a bug?

Let me know.

Thanks!

Finetunning CubeX slicing....

Howdy! This is the very first print on my new CubeX "out of the box" using Simplify3D and a profile I found in a well known CubeX blog site: http://i.imgur.com/R2tfs2s.jpg Besides the obvious stringing, there seems to be lots of blobs and "overextrusion" as well.... Since the temp is already quite l...
